Vienna is the capital of Austria. The city is located in the eastern part of the country in the middle reaches of the Danube. Back in the 1st century BC. Not far from the Cathedral Square is the Imperial Palace Hofburg, the construction of which began even before the accession to the throne of the Habsburgs. Under the Habsburgs, the palace served as the main home of the imperial family in Vienna, and today the palace is the official residence of the President of Austria. Here you will see the Habsburg winter arena, the Schatzkammer treasure display with the crown of the Holy Roman Empire and the Austrian imperial crown; the hall of the “Burgundy Treasury” with relics of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the Dukes of Burgundy; the imperial reception hall and the bedroom of Kaiser Franz Josef. The largest Viennese museums are located in separate buildings of the complex – the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Kunsthistorisches Museum) and the Museum of Natural History, as well as the Austrian National Library, the court church Augustinkirche and the Albertina Gallery. The Kunsthistorisches Museum contains one of the most famous art galleries in the world, where masterpieces by Dürer, Rubens, Titian, Velazquez, Pieter Brueghel are exhibited. The canvases were collected during the reign of the Habsburgs. The collection of works of ancient art and the collection of monuments of ancient Egyptian art of the museum are among the largest collections of this kind in the world. In the vicinity of the Hofburg , the Capuchin Church of the 17th century is interesting, where representatives of the imperial family were buried from the moment it was founded.

The palace is surrounded by a vast park with fountains, statues and ruins of buildings from the Roman era, the park also has a Palm Greenhouse and a zoo from 1752 (the oldest in the world).

Floodplain meadows and wetlands are protected here, some of the last untouched by human activity in Central Europe. One of the parts of the park is the Lobau Park, whose territory begins in the eastern part of Vienna. The park offers interesting walking tours and boat trips on the Danube River.
