Douglas County is a county located in the state of Washington, USA. As of 2000, the population is 32,603. The county seat is at Waterville. It was named after American statesman Stephen A. Douglas.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 4,788 km² (1,849 mi²). 4,715 km² (1,821 mi²) of it is land and 73 km² (28 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.52% water.

The racial makeup of the county is 84.65% White, 0.31% Black or African American, 1.09% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 10.83% from other races, and 2.48% from two or more races. 19.73% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 11,726 households out of which 38.40% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.60% are married couples living together, 9.70% have a female householder with no husband present, and 24.30% are non-families. 20.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 7.80% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
