Lamoille County is a county located in the state of Vermont. As of 2000, the population is 23,233. Its county seat is Hyde Park.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,201 km² (464 mi²). 1,194 km² (461 mi²) of it is land and 7 km² (3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.60% water.

As of the census of 2000, there are 23,233 people, 9,221 households, and 5,984 families residing in the county. The population density is 19/km² (50/mi²). There are 11,009 housing units at an average density of 9/km² (24/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 97.31% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 0.45% Native American, 0.37% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.12% from other races, and 1.39% from two or more races. 0.77% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 9,221 households out of which 32.00% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.40% are married couples living together, 8.90% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.10% are non-families. 25.00% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.10% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.45 and the average family size is 2.94.
