Overview of Upton County, Texas
Upton County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 3,404. Its county seat is Rankin. The county is named for two brothers: John C. and William F. Upton, both Colonels in the Confederate army.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 3,216 km² (1,242 mi²). 3,216 km² (1,242 mi²) of it is land and 0 km² (0 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.01% water.
