Parmer County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 10,016. Its county seat is Farwell. Parmer County is named for Martin Parmer, a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence and early judge.


According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 2,293 km² (885 mi²). 2,283 km² (882 mi²) of it is land and 9 km² (4 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.40% water.
