Foard County is a county located in the state of Texas. As of 2000, the population is 1,622. Its county seat is Crowell. Foard is named for Robert Levi Foard, an attorney and Civil War soldier.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,833 km² (708 mi²). 1,830 km² (707 mi²) of it is land and 3 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.14% water.
