McNairy County is a county located in the state of Tennessee. As of 2000, the population is 24,653. Its county seat is Selmer. A famous sheriff, Buford Pusser, served as sheriff from 1964 to 1970.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,453 km² (561 mi²). 1,450 km² (560 mi²) of it is land and 2 km² (1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.14% water.
