I have experienced very different from my two pregnancies. In the first pregnancy, I was very insecure and afraid to do something wrong at the beginning – how so many women -. Although I was a midwife since quite a few years. The expertise is for me as a mother in me even often not available. I’m then just mother and not professional.

The theme of fertility is an emotional topic. What empfiehlst you in nutrition from fertility? What should a woman intending to become pregnant be aware especially? What can women do to actively promote a desired pregnancy?

It is most important in my eyes, that women with fertility, pregnant women and mothers make sure that they’re okay. Both physically and emotionally. And the diet is of course a point that affects this well-being. Before a pregnancy is to ensure it well, to eat, to prepare for a pregnancy healthy and balanced. The things of which one does not recommend in pregnancy (alcohol, coffee (in large quantities) and certain foods), a woman intending to become pregnant must not renounce. It is sufficient if it deletes these foods after finding pregnancy from the diet. A healthy woman, who want to become pregnant should pay attention to their well-being, take folic acid (most doctors recommend that), and occasionally have sex. It does not take more active support. I find it nice to specifically invite the child in the form of a letter. But this is of course not a requirement. (I have written an article on the blog about here…)

“Now you must eat for two!”. You hear it again and again. It certainly isn’t that right or? What are the recommendations?

When it comes to the amount of the statement, it is not true, you’re right. But when looking at it so that the statement means that the food benefit the well-being and welfare of two people, then it’s somehow true. So if takes care of a pregnant woman good to their diet and that eats, what good does and takes to itself, what makes them happy, then the child will benefit of it directly and indirectly.

I recommend every woman to feed, that’s fine. She should no longer eat when she’s hungry and not less than that. The woman’s body in particular during pregnancy clearly shows what he needs. Therefore also the desires stir.
