Miller County is a county located in the state of Missouri. As of 2000, the population is 23,564. Its county seat is Tuscumbia.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,554 km² (600 mi²). 1,534 km² (592 mi²) of it is land and 20 km² (8 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.28% water.

As of the census of 2000, there are 23,564 people, 9,284 households, and 6,443 families residing in the county. The population density is 15/km² (40/mi²). There are 11,263 housing units at an average density of 7/km² (19/mi²). The racial makeup of the county is 97.99% White, 0.28% Black or African American, 0.46% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.29% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. 0.98% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
